Before stepping into the role of Administrator, I spent two years as the Human Resource Director. Each and every day, I feel privileged to be a part of the healthcare industry.

One of the things that makes Harmony unique is our exceptional rehab-to-home program, supported by a strong on-site therapy team. Our commitment to quality care is reflected in our ability to retain seasoned healthcare professionals, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years. This tenure and consistency ensures that our residents receive top-quality care from experienced professionals.

As administrator, I focus on problem-solving and optimizing our processes to ensure everything runs as efficiently as possible. I take pride in overseeing the business functionalities while balancing the needs and relations of our employees, residents, and their families. Supporting my team and fostering a collaborative work environment is a key aspect of my leadership style. I’m always ready to jump in and assist other departments whenever necessary, which helps create a cohesive and supportive atmosphere at Harmony Marshalltown.

DIRECTOR OF NURSING

Teresa is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare leader who currently serves as Director of Nursing, bringing decades of experience and commitment to excellence in resident care. Prior to stepping into this leadership role, she served as the facility’s MDS Nurse for approximately 20 years, where she developed a deep understanding of clinical processes, regulatory standards, and individualized resident needs.

Since becoming Director of Nursing, Teresa has played a pivotal role in elevating the quality of care within the organization. Under her leadership, the facility has seen significant improvements in survey outcomes, reflecting her strong focus on compliance, teamwork, and continuous improvement. She leads with integrity, accountability, and a genuine passion for making a difference.

At the heart of her work is her “why” — the meaningful impact she has on residents and their families. She finds purpose in building connections, supporting her team, and ensuring each resident receives compassionate, high-quality care.

Outside of work, Teresa enjoys quiet time at home, where she loves relaxing and spending time with her puppy. Her balance of professional dedication and personal warmth makes her a valued leader and an inspiration to those around her.
